Alexander the Great Silver Drachm NGC CHMS 5x4 Fine Style

The Coinage of Alexander the Great:
Alexander had three principle denominations that traded throughout his kingdom: the Gold stater, Silver tetradrachms and Drachms. Depending on condition, these can be stunningly beautiful coins, intrinsically radiant, reminding you why humankind through the ages has prized gold and silver above all other metals. Like the tetradrachms, the Drachm also depict two symbols of strength, Hercules wearing his Lion headdress on the obverse and a seated Zeus on the reverse.

Completing the reverse are the inscription, which translates into "Of Alexander" or "Of King Alexander," and usually a mint mark or marks as well, which may be in the form of pictures, symbols, or letters.

This is a Lifetime issue and was awarded the coveted "Fine Style" for outstanding artistry and design details.

You won't find a higher quality Silver Drachm  anywhere, no certified Gem MS examples exist.
