Babylonia - A territory within Alexander the Great's empire. He let local governmental "Satraps" rule in his name after his conquest of the area. They continued to produce the Persian type coinage to keep business going as usual and to give the public "trust" in his new rule.  Alexander the Great ruled from 336-323 BC.
