Roman Empire Antoninus Pius AD 138-161 AE Bronze NGC XF

Antoninus Pius was the fifteenth ruler of the Roman Empire, from AD 138-161, ascending to the throne following the death of his adoptive father Hadrian. One of the Five Good Emperors, Antoninus enjoyed a peaceful rule during the most prosperous era of the Empire. The Bronze Sestertius was a commonly circulated coin, it was used at local markets to buy wine meats and cheeses. So to find one beautifully toned with evergreen surfaces and well preserved is pretty special.
